This short film will be shot over 2 or 3 days in mid-December and will be entered in film festivals
Jack is going through piles of other people's discards on hard rubbish collection day. He finds an unexpected treasure and thinks this is his lucky day until the true owner of Jack's treasure comes along and puts a curse on him. Bad luck follows him until he returns what's not his.
This is a short film to be shot over 2 or 3 days in mid-December and will be entered in film festivals. There is no payment for this but some expenses will be covered and the completed film will be available for the actors' showreels.

Jack
Males, aged 28 to 42 from Victoria, Aus
Jack is a mid-thirties, likeable, slightly down-and-out Aussie Battler looking for a break (think Colin Carpenter from "The Comedy Company"). This is a rewarding role for a comic actor.

Patrick
Males, aged 30 to 50 from Victoria, Aus
Patrick might look like the average homeless man - a little scruffy, maybe a little unsteady on his feet - but in reality he's an urban leprechaun who has misplaced his treasure. A strong Irish accent and a good feel for comedy is required for this part.

Mugger
Males, aged 18 to 32 from Victoria, Aus
A small but important role. A tough young street-person, the mugger asks Jack for a few dollars but, when he gets nothing, demands all Jack's money.
