This is a good opportunity to work with some professional filmmakers in a horror flick
Consumption – a sharp short about a brilliant and devoted Chef who is about to lose everything he cares about. But when it comes to the chopping block, Chef is the only one with a knife.
The shooting dates for this film are yet to be finalised, but stand as follows;

Monday or Tuesday, Dec 1 or 2 – night (no later than 1am)
Saturday, December 6 – day
Sunday, December 7 – day
Monday or Tuesday, Dec 8 or 9 – night (no later than 1am)
Saturday, December 13 – Day (Contingency day)
Auditions will be by appointment on November 24, all CV’s must be received by the end of the 23th; Rehearsals on Saturday, November 29.
This is a good opportunity to work with some professional filmmakers in a horror flick for entry into international festivals. All meals will be provided and transport can be arranged if necessary. This is an unpaid project.

A well fed man who runs the restaurant Chef works in. He is a staunch business man who knows how to create profits. The Manager is sometimes too assuming of how far his power stretches in the workplace, especially in regard to the Chef, with whom his professional rapport has deteriorated with over last few weeks over costings. Must be comfortable with showing an exposed backside on film.

Delivery driver
Males, aged 25 to 60 from Queensland, Aus
A scrawny man who’s wardrobe consists of blue singlets and jeans; on and off the job. He sees the chef every week, but tends not to talk too much, preferring to do his job and get home to his next beer.

Investors (4)
Any gender, aged 35 to 60 from Queensland, Aus
Four people who have banded together to invest in a restaurant as a tax write off. They are caricatures of wealth and power, and each has a stereotypical look about them that is different to the others. Thin with glasses, short and meaty, larger size women, or typical business woman. Any of the above are fine, as these characters are more symbolic as a whole entity as opposed to individuals. Actors will have a lot of creative license in these roles.

Restaurant extras
Any gender, aged 20 to 70 from Queensland, Aus
20 extras to fill out the restaurant space for 2 nights, a la carte meals will be provided. Own clothes will be worn (smart casual); particular dress details (i.e. acceptable colours etc) will be provided closer to the date. Come along, have a meal and be in a film!
