Synopsis
---------
This short film follows the events leading to the death of 17 year old cancer victim Adam Niven. He claimed that when he developed cancer it amplified his recurring dreams which he believed were a guide to everlasting life. Eventually abandoning conventional medical approaches, Adam exhausts the last days of his life seeking the truth of his recurring visions which lead him to a climactic revelation in an abandoned railway tunnel he had dreamed about when he was a boy. His blurred last moments are captured on his mobile phone camera. The last man to view the video is Adams psychiatrist, Ewan: a friend and confidant. Adam succeeds in spreading belief as Ewan has renewed hope that his late wife has truly moved on to a better plane of existence.
"In Dreams" delivers a fresh outlook on the supernatural or ‘higher’ realms of existence and offers the viewer the chance to ask themselves the question of what happens when we die. The film will engage with active questions about human mortality and encourages thinking and debate. Everyone has had a discussion at some point in his or her life about what happens when we die. "In Dreams" facilitates further discussion, asking what place dreams have in the greater picture of life. Dreams are not an exact science nor are they explained with any set reasoning. The exciting mysteries of the subconscious, our unique and truly individual journey of personal discovery, are thrust upon the audience letting the viewer decide for his/herself how important the dream realm is.

Payment details: Applicants will not be paid for their participation but will be contracted to recieve a share of any profits in the event that the film successful commercially. Travel expenses will be paid within reason eg. Local bus tickets/ train tickets. (As this is a student piece for university there is literraly no budget. All expenses are paid out of the producers own personal finance.)

Males, aged 18 to 23 from the United Kingdom
Adam is a terminally ill teenager who believes he is dreaming the afterlife. This role requires the actor to have a very short hair cut, (at least a number 3) to authenticate the leukemia treatments he has recently received.
